Third quake in as many days rattles Big Island

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred off the Hamakua coast of the Big Island late Sunday night.  The quake was located 30 miles WNW of Hilo, Hawaii, or 60 miles SSE of Hana, Maui. The tremor struck at around 11:45 p.m. Officials

with the Hawaii Civil Defense Agency say no damages or injuries were reported.  The quake was the third of 3.5 magnitude or greater in the last three days near the Big Island.
