UH Center Maui hosts degree preparation workshop TODAY
Representatives from the University of Hawaii will visit Maui today (Thursday, November 18, 2010) to discuss upcoming online bachelor’s, master’s degree and certificate programs. Today’s session begins at 6 p.m. at the UH Maui campus in Kahului, in Laulima room 108. The session is hosted by Dr. Candace Wheeler, UH Hilo’s Distance Learning Coordinator.
Wheeler will discuss upcoming programs in Nursing, Psychology, the Indigenous Teacher Education certificate program, and a master’s degree program in Indigenous Language & Culture Education.
UH’s Distance Learning program provides students across the state of Hawaii with the opportunity to take classes offered by any UH campus. Distance learning online classes can be delivered anytime and anywhere. Programs are facilitated through the UH Center, Maui which offers face-to-face academic support.
These workshops offer the unique opportunity to ask questions about UH’s distance programs in an informal face-to-face environment. UH’s Distance Learning program has helped nearly one thousand Maui residents get their advanced degrees without leaving Maui.
Advance registration is not required. For more information, contact the University of Hawai’i Center, Maui, at 984-3525, email [email protected], or visit the website http://uctrmaui.hawaii.edu.
