Wet Weather in Hawaii Lingers Through Monday
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH remains in effect through this afternoon for all of the Hawaiian Islands. The wet weather is the result of a very moist air mass that remains over the state. Heavy showers and the threat of flash flooding remain a possibility throughout the day.
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING was issued for the island of Oahu early this morning and remains in effect until 8:30 a.m. At 5:22 a.m., radar showed heavy rain just west of Oahu that was moving to the east at 10 mph. A flood warning means that flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas.
