A High Surf ADVISORY for the north shores of Maui and Molokai has been extended until 6 a.m. on Saturday.  Forecasters from the National Weather Service say north shore surf heights will increase to 14 to 18 feet late tonight and continue through Friday night.

The advisory will result in strong rip currents and localized beach erosion.

A high tide of approximately 2.7 feet is expected between 4:29 a.m. and 5:47 a.m. Friday morning. The next high tide of approximately 1.5 feet is expected between 3:57 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.
