Farmers fall to Maryknoll, Lunas defeat Kapolei

Girl’s state basketball DI Maui update:

Lahainaluna 58, Kapolei 55:  #2 Lahainaluna advances to a semifinal match-up with #3 Punahou at 7 p.m. at the Blaisdell. The other DI semifinal features #1 Konawaena vs. Iolani.

King Kekaulike 33, Kaimuki 47:  Maui’s King Kekaulike fell to Kaimuki in a Division I consolation game on Wednesday.  The leading scorer for Na Alii was Dasya Tavares who led the team with 10 points, followed by Taylor Fernandez who put away 9 points.

Girl’s state basketball DII Maui update:

Maryknoll 43, Molokai 41: In a division II girls basketball quarterfinal game, Maryknoll defeated #2 seeded Moloka‘i 43-41 to advance to the Semifinals. Ciana Cochoco sank one of two free throws with 4.6 seconds remaining to give the Spartans a 43-41 lead, then the Farmers could not get a shot off in time to tie it. #2 Molokai now plays University High at 7 p.m. today at Kaimuki.
