A High Surf WARNING has been extended for the North and West facing shores of Molokai and the North facing shores of Maui until 6 p.m.

Surf is expected to be in the 20 to 25 foot range along the north facing shores of Maui and Molokai, and in the 15 to 20 foot range along the west shores of Molokai.

The northwest swell will gradually decline below warning levels later today, but will remain above the high surf advisory thresholds through Wednesday.

The National Weather Service advises beach goers to stay out of the water and well away from the shore break due to dangerous wave action and deadly rip currents.
