Flood Watch Canceled:

The National Weather Service has canceled the FLASH FLOOD WATCH for MAUI COUNTY.   The upper level low that brought unstable air to the area has since moved to the south, pulling any remaining heavy showers and thunderstorms further away from the islands. A slight chance of thunderstorms remains over the coastal waters tonight.

Weekend outlook for Maui and the state:

Forecasters say unsettled weather is expected to slowly diminish from west to east today and Friday. Weekend weather will consist of afternoon clouds and showers, and clear and cool nights; light winds and afternoon sea breezes will prevail through the weekend.
