On March 2nd, Whole Foods Market in Kahului will donate 5% of the day’s sales to Hawaii Public Radio (HPR), a locally operated, listener-supported, and community-licensed broadcast service.
Get your fill of organic and natural products while simultaneously helping to expand HPR’s reach with their latest radio station KIPM (89.7FM). Donated monies will be put toward the purchase and installation of a brand new, state-of-the-art transmitter and will also help to cover overhead expenses that include electricity, rent and contract engineer services for the station’s first year of operation. When the project is complete, Maui County listeners will have an entirely new and separate array of Hawaii Public Radio programs.
Whole Foods Market in Maui, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, brings a diversity of organic and natural products to Maui and is also home to a several classes and events. Whole Foods Market started in Austin, Texas circa 1980 and has been committed to selling the highest quality natural products available ever since.
