Localvore Potluck, Produce and Seed Swap in Pukalani

Maui Farmers United will celebrate its one-year anniversary and the spring equinox at the Tavares Center Pool Room in Pukalani on Tuesday, March 22. The celebration will include a localvore potluck, produce and seed swap and all are welcome to attend.
Guests should enter their Best Dish, using local grown produce, and/or meat as part of the dish to win great prizes, including Health Food Store Gift Cards (totaling $180) to Hawaiian Earth, Whole Foods and Down to Earth and a one-year subscription to Edible Hawaiian Islands Magazine (Value $52). Guests can also purchase $1 raffle tickets to win one of two baskets (value $30 each) of local fruits from Mana Foods.
Doors open to the public at 6pm and judging begins at 6:15 sharp. Each person can only enter one dish. Two local chefs will judge based on presentation, flavor, and creative use of local ingredients. Gift Cards and other prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Judging ends at 6:30 pm.
