Veggies Gone Wild at UHMC
By Katie McMillan
The Sustainable Crop Production Class at the University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC) will be selling their fresh Maui grown produce and flowers beginning on March 28th.
The veggie sale will take place on UHMC’s campus in Kahului on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:40-1 PM in front of the Paina Culinary Arts Building. Choose from a variety of assorted vegetables, herbs and flower bouquets and meet some of the students that grew them.
Offering local produce at a great price, choose from a variety of herbs, lettuce, pak choi, okra, beans, and flowers. Later in the semester the tomatoes, squash, peppers, and eggplants, and others will follow. You can also pick up a reusable Chico bag.
This veggie sale will be ongoing throughout UHMC’s Spring Semester which runs until early May.
