Japan Airlines (JAL) today announced a reduction in flight frequency between Narita and Honolulu due to the after effects of the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake and Tsunami.

The route is one of several affected by a decline in passengers since the incidents earlier this month.

The Narita – Honolulu route will decrease frequency from 21 to 14 weekly flights between April 6th and 24th, 2011.

The JAL Group announcement includes a decision to temporarily reduce the flight frequency and change the aircraft size on part of its International Routes.

Routes between Narita and Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Hong Kong, Busan, Taipei and Kaohsiung are also affected, in addition to the Haneda-Seoul route.

Passengers holding reservation for the affected flights will be notified of the reservation and ticket handling procedure accordingly.
