Hawai’i McDonald’s Hiring 1,000 People Today

McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawai’i is looking to hire 1,000 people today as part of a nationwide National Hiring Day initiative.

The jobs offered locally include a combination of part-time, full-time and managerial positions.

There are 75 McDonald’s restaurants in Hawai’i and more than 4,600 employees. McDonald’s total economic impact on the state is about $285 million in spending.

Nationwide, McDonald’s is hiring up to 50,000 new employees across the country today.  Company officials say most manager stay with the company for more than 18 years.

Although hiring is a year-round effort, those interested in pursuing a career at McDonald’s after April 19, can continue to apply.  Applications are available in person or online at McHawaii.net.

“Our business is strong and our customers are responding positively to the variety of choices on our menu and the value and convenience we provide,” said Veronica Kaneko, president and managing director of McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawai’i. “As our business continues to grow, we want to provide our customers with an even better experience in all of our local restaurants. And every employee plays a vital role in helping us meet that goal,” she said.
