Victorino Homer Lifts Phils Against Brewers

Shane Victorino hit a tie-breaking home run in the eighth inning as the Philadelphia Phillies rallied from an early three-run deficit to a 4-3 win over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers today.

The Phillies tied the game in sixth on a three-run blast by Placido Polanco with Victoino on base.

Victorino’s homer was his second of the season. The centerfielder from Maui had two hits today, raising his batting average to .324 along with 13 runs scored and 10 RBI.

On Tuesday, Victorino had one of only two hits for Philadelphia in a 9-0 loss to the Brewers. Philadelphia is 11-6 and holds a full game lead over Florida in the National League East.
