Overturned Semi Truck Mokulele Hwy Near Kings Cathedral UPDATE

Motorists traveling in Central Maui are advised of a motor vehicle accident on the Mokulele Highway in Kahului.

Authorities say there is an overturned semi-truck blocking traffic on the highway fronting Kings Cathedral.

Crews are working to clean fuel from the roadway.  Authorities have temporarily closed traffic in both directions in the area and are diverting motorists using alternate roads.

At 8:45 a.m., Maui Police closed the Mokulele Highway (311) between the Kuihelani Highway (380) and Hookele Street.

Motorists can expect delays in their commute.
