Man Sought Over Waihee Death and Shooting

CrimeStoppers is seeking the public’s help in locating a man identified as a person of interest in a fatal motor vehicle accident on Maui.
Josiah Okudara, 22, was named as a person of interest in the May 14, 2011 accident that occurred at around 1:08 a.m. on the Kahekili Highway between Waihee and Kahakuloa. A 22-year-old Haiku woman was killed in the crash when the pickup truck she was in lost control and plunged down a steep embankment.
Okudara is wanted on two Grand Jury warrants totaling $550,000 for a separate incident reported on July 24, 2010.
On that day, at approximately 10:29 p.m., Maui officers responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the area of Olena Street in Wailuku. Upon arrival Officers located a male with a single gunshot wound. Okudara was identified as the suspect and is wanted for Attempted Murder in the First Degree, according to CrimeStoppers.
Okudara is described as 5’6”, weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
