Road Advisory: Honoapiilani Hwy MP 17

The Honoapiilani Hwy at Mile Post 17 is now open in both directions. The southbound lane was re-opened at 5:48 p.m. It was closed earlier because of a motor vehicle accident.

Motorists traveling to or from West Maui at this hour are advised of a traffic accident on the Honoapiilani Highway (30) near Mile Post 17.  At 4:17 p.m., Maui Police closed the south-bound lane of traffic because of a motor vehicle accident.  The North-bound lane of travel remained open for contraflow or alternating traffic.  Motorists can expect delays in their commute through the area.  We will post more information as it becomes available.
