Downed Tree and Power Lines on Olinda Road

County crews have cleared Olinda Road for one lane of alternating traffic. The road was completely closed at 9:05 a.m. because of a downed tree and power lines. The incident was reported on Olinda Road at Hanamu Road in Makawao.

Maui police have closed a portion of Olinda Road in Makawao due to a downed tree and power lines. The closure went into effect at 8:45 a.m. and extends from Pookela Church to Hanamu Road. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and expect delays in their commute.
