Trash Collection Changes Made in Molokai and Hana

The residential refuse collection days for customers in Molokai and in Hana will change beginning on June 29, 2011.  The permanent change is being implemented to provide more reliable service, and to reduce operating costs.

For customers in Hana and on Molokai, refuse pickup will be changed from Fridays to Wednesdays beginning on June 29, 2011.  Customers on Molokai whose normal pick up day is on Thursday, will have no change in service.

Authorities with the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, issued a letter on June 1, 2011, informing affected customers of the change
