Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa will host the next edition of County on Your Corner in South Maui on Saturday.  The monthly interactive event between county government and the community is being held in conjunction with the one-year anniversary celebration of the Kihei Lipoa Farmers Market.

From 8 to 10 a.m. on July 30, community members will be able to discuss issues of interest to them, with the Mayor and other members of the county administration.  Among those on hand will be Mayor Arakawa, Managing Director Keith Regan, Water Supply Director Dave Taylor, Prosecuting Attorney JD Kim, Housing & Human Concerns Deputy Director Jan Shishido, Executive on Aging Deborah Arendale, and Environmental Management Director Kyle Ginoza.

“It is important to connect with people face to face,” says Arakawa. “‘County on Your Corner, which is scheduled in a different location each month, is a good way for myself and members of my cabinet to interact with the community on the issues that are of most interest to them.”
