Kona Woman Arrested in Reported Road Rage Incident

A Big Island woman was charged Wednesday after police responded to a reported road rage incident in Kailua-Kona on Monday.

Kahea Reyes, 22, of Hōnaunau was arrested for reckless driving and other offenses in connection with the domestic road incident on Palani Road.

According to police reports, Reyes is accused of trying to run  her ex-boyfriend and his 17-year-old female passenger off the road.

Reyes remained in police custody at the Kona police cellblock, pending her initial court appearance today.  Her bail was set at $16,000.

The incident remains under investigation by detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division.
