If you like your burgers big, juicy, and flavorful, Fat Boy Burger in Kihei has some epic options for the meat-eater in you. Want some fries? They have really good orangey sweet potato fries and large crisp onion rings by the full or half order.

For under $10, customers get to choose between burgers with names such as: Californication, Big Daddy Burger, the Yuppie and Zeppelin. The Californication is a favorite as it comes with avocado, chipotle-lime sauce, roasted green chili peppers, roasted garlic, jack cheese, and red onions.

Open wide when you bite into the Californication. The chipotle-lime sauce’s minimal heat is slathered and mashed into the creamy avocado, while the roasted peppers and garlic create a kind of one-two punch flavor combination that will make you go Mmmm. Take in the moment.

The Big Daddy Burger is also a nice option for those who may not want the spice of the Californication. Barbecue sauce from Big Daddy’s restaurant, onion rings and smoked bacon are the highlights of this burger.

The bun is soft and placed on the flat grill with the burgers to warm through and get that buttery underside to crisp slightly. There’s no asking for well, medium-well, or rare, for these beef patties. They are made as-is, which is, juicy, cooked through, and a little over-seasoned. This is the type of burger that will have you reaching for that carbonated sweet drink.

Fat Boy Burger has an outdoor area to munch on fries and devour burgers. They also have a cozy bar area with some tables, a flat screen television and interesting memorabilia on the walls. For more information call 875-7777. They are located at 1819 South Kihei Road and are open daily for the lunch and dinner crowd.
