UPDATE: Upcountry Pool Closure Extended Until Oct. 19

The County Parks Department has decided to keep the Upcountry 50-meter pool closed until next Wednesday, October 19, 2011.

The pool was closed yesterday because of problems with the automated controls for pool’s the new filter.

Officials from the Aquatics Division say the closure is necessary because without proper filtration, the pool cannot meet state Department of Health water clarity and disinfection standards.

The training and keiki pool will remain open to the public during the repair period.
