A Maui Marine is among the contestants featured in a new reality show, Maximum Warrior.
United States Marine Corps Platoon Sergeant “Mike S.” is originally from Maui, Hawaii, and currently stationed at Camp Pendleton in Southern California.
There were a total of 10 active or former military special ops personnel who were partnered with 10 civilian contestants in the interactive military-inspired competition.
The Maximum Warrior series tested the marine’s military skills, quick decision-making ability and all-out physical stamina in 15 action-packed challenges.
Tasks include extractions, terrain navigation around IED simulations, direct combat, off-road driving capability, agility courses, and special ops intelligence gathering.
The competition was hosted in Crawfordsville, Ark., at a special elite training facility called T1G.
“Not only do we deliver a real-life series of challenges for the competitors, but the competition is also a tribute to our men and women serving in the Armed Forces, and especially to our special ops operators,” said Ben Madden, MAXIM’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Weekly video updates of the challenges and candid on-location outtakes of the competitors will be shown in webisodes on MaximumWarrior.com. The winner is expected to be announced in November.
