Kea Lani Boasts Second Largest Christmas Tree in State

The public is invited to experience the magic of 23,000 lights as the second largest Christmas tree in the state is lit up at the Fairmont Kea Lani on Friday, December 2.

At 25 feet, the decorated tree will be serve as the centerpiece of a traditional ceremony featuring Hawaiian entertainment, hula dancers and holiday treats.

The tree lighting ceremony takes place at 5 p.m. in the lobby of the hotel.  The event is free and open to the public.

Additional holiday festivities are planned at the hotel throughout the season including Santa’s arrival at noon on Saturday, December 24th.

See Santa Claus, along with Mrs. Claus and their elves, arrive on Polo Beach via outrigger canoe to spread holiday cheer to South Maui. The annual event has been a Fairmont Kea Lani tradition for over ten years.

On Christmas Day, the Fairmont Kea Lani hosts a Christmas in Paradise buffet dinnerat 5 p.m. on the Polo Beach Lawn.  The feast includes slow roasted free range turkey, seafood selections and traditional favorites.  The food will be paired with live entertainment and an open premium bar.

Cost is $90 per person, $30 for children 6-12 years and complimentary for children 5 years and under.
