Hoolehua House Fire Causes $170,000 in Damages

A home fire in Hoolehua on Sunday caused an estimated $170,000 in damage to a 700-square foot wooden home located behind the women’s shelter on Molokai.
The fire was first reported at 4:54 p.m. on Lihi Pali Avenue.
The first units arrived on scene to find the home totally involved. No one was home at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
The fire was contained by 5:06 p.m. and extinguished at 7:35 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
