On Friday January 13, Maui Onstage, Power Up Comedy, and Kit Kat Club Cabaret will host “One HOT Winter’s Night” featuring burlesque dancing, standup comedy, and live music at the Historic Iao Theater at 7 p.m.

Iao Theater volunteer and performer Charlie Dungans was inspired to create a new show which would encompass a variety of talents in one night. After seeing the 2010 film Burlesque, Dungans found the theme he was looking for and began helping organize “One HOT Winter’s Night.”

The show will kick off on Friday night with live burlesque dancing by Maui’s own Kit Kat Club Cabaret. Music accompanying the dancers will be played by Iao Theater Orchestra and vocalists will include Lia Krieg, Casey Murphy, Jonna Ahn and Natalie Raynes.

Interspersed with the dances of long legged-dolled up women, Power Up Comedy’s riotous Maui comedians Chino LaForge and Michael Pulliam will perform standup comedy coinciding with the underground classy, speakeasy theme of the evening.

Though the Kit Kat Club Cabaret group is tasteful in their renditions of burlesque dancing, some language and performances may be too mature for young audiences without parental supervision.

There’s no better place than the Historic Iao Theater to host a night of hot, dazzling, fun theater cabaret of the early 1900s.

All proceeds from the show will go to non-profit organization Maui OnStage to create more shows like “One HOT Winter’s Night.”

Tickets are selling fast but are still available at the Iao Theater Box Office for $18 in advance by calling 242-6969 or at the door for $20.
