5 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Jan. 22 to 28, 2012

There were a total of 5 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between January 22 and 28, 2012.

The incidents were spread throughout different districts including one incident each in Haiku, Kahului, Kihei, Kula, and Lahaina.

The types of vehicles taken included a moped, a motorcycle, a dirt bike, and two cars.  Two of the vehicles have since been recovered.

A complete run-down of incidents is listed below:

Haiku:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, 10:25 a.m.:  Kaupakalua Road.  2004 Blue Harley Davidson motorcycle.  License plate #: 067MVM. VIN#: 1HD4CAM134K433032.

Kahului:

  • Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, 9:31 p.m.:  Kaahumanu Avenue at the Kaahumanu Center.  1994 White Honda Accord.  RECOVERED.

Kihei:

  • Monday, Jan 23, 2012, 12 a.m.:  Kio Loop at Kihei Rac.  2003 Silver Nissan Sentra.  RECOVERED.

Kula:

  • Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, 5 a.m.:  Kula Highway.  2009 Red and White Honda CRF 150F dirtbike.  VIN#: 9C2KE02089R001035.

Lahaina:

  • Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, 9:30 p.m.:  Honoapiilani Highway at Longs Drugs, Lahaina.  2011 Blue and Silver Roketa Powersports moped.
