The new outdoor lighting project is expected to improve safety and allow the Maui Historical Society to hold evening functions including concerts and fundraising events on the museum grounds.

It will also make the Bailey House property available in the evening for community rentals such as wedding receptions and parties.

The Maui Historical Society was founded in 1951 and is the oldest historical and preservation society on Maui.
