Authorities say the affected structure was a home that was converted to office space.

According to property records, the building is partially owned by the Wells Court Hui LLC, Commercial Properties of Maui Management; and the Honpa Hongwanji Mission.

It is unclear what office space was affected.  Fire officials say the offices were unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Records show the incident was under control by 6:12 p.m., and extinguished by 6:54 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
