MEO reports that it annually provides over $5 million of specialized transportation services, wholly funded by the County of Maui, in addition to the federal Head Start program and Medicaid transportation and gurney transport services for Maui Memorial Medical Center.  MEO vehicles travel over one million miles annually, and were used to provide almost 300,000 trips last year.

Completely built out, the transportation center will include a bus maintenance building, multi-modal transfer area, emergency generator, and bus washing and fueling facility and will accommodate long-term expansion adequate to serve the growing needs of the elderly, youth, persons with special needs, and the general public in the future to come.
