Suspect Sought in Attempted ATM Break-in

Authorities from the Maui Police Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for attempting to break into an ATM machine in Lahaina.

Authorities say the individual depicted in the accompanying surveillance photo attempted to break into an ATM on Front Street in the early morning hours of June 1, 2012.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the person(s) in the surveillance photo is asked to contact Maui Crime Stoppers at (808) 242-6966, or toll free from the neighbor islands at (888) 242-6966.

Maui Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals in unsolved crimes.

The public should consider all wanted persons as dangerous and should not approach, follow or take other action that could put themselves in danger.
