Deadline Today for Governor to Sign Bills

Today is the deadline for Governor Neil Abercrombie to sign measures into law, veto them, or allow the bills to become law without his signature.

Earlier this month, he notified the legislature of his intent to veto a total of 19 bills.

To date, the Governor has enacted more than 280 measures into law this session.

A final bill signing ceremony takes place today as the governor enacts five traffic and safety measures, including House Bill 2030, which requires motorists to “Move Over” when passing a stationary emergency vehicle on the highway.
