Kuihelani Brushfire Burns 5 Acres

A brush fire burned about five acres on Maui on Saturday morning, mauka of the Kuihelani/Honoapiilani Highway intersection.

The fire acre fire was reported at around 11:30 a.m. and was extinguished by 3:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire was undetermined, and the incident did not impact traffic.

Among the units responding to the scene were Engine-1, Engine-10, Tanker-10, Tanker-14, and Engine-6.
