BRIEF: Waihee, Waiehu, Kahakuloa Power Restored

As of 4:38 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, MECO officials say power has been restored to customers affected by an power outage reported earlier this afternoon. The outage was first reported just before 4 p.m. in the Waihee, Waiehu and Kahakuloa areas.

Maui Electric Company has reported a power outage in the Waihee, Waiehu, and Kahakuloa area.
Areas affected include those bounded by the Kahekili Highway, Lower Waiehu Beach Road, Halewalu Road, Malaihi Road, Waihee Valley Road, and laterals.

Crews are working to identify the cause and restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible.
