The Department of Taxation’s Summer 2012 Maui Tax Workshop has moved to the University of Hawaii Maui College campus in the Pa’ina Building.

The Workshop will be held this Friday, August 10, 2012. Presentations will include a review of the recently concluded 2012 tax filing season and an update of the Department’s e-filing program.

Director of Taxation Fred Pablo and other staff will provide an overview of the 2012 legislative session and discuss some of the key measures enacted this year.

Also on the agenda is an overview of the Special Enforcement Section’s efforts to address the cash economy and an update on their recent activities.

“We’re pleased to present these workshops for the state’s tax professionals,” said Director of Taxation Fred Pablo, in a written statement. “We value the opportunity to work with the tax community and hear their ideas and suggestions.”

For more information about the Workshop, contact UH Maui College at (808) 984-3231 (refer to Course No. 436S12).  Registration forms also are available on the Department’s website:
