A motor vehicle accident involving a flipped vehicle was reported on the Pali section of the Honoapiilani at around 2:45 on Sunday, September 16, 2012.

The accident was moved to the shoulder at the time and was located on the Wailuku side of the Pali Tunnel.

When emergency crews arrived on scene, they re-routed traffic around the accident.

At 3:54 p.m., a tow truck was on scene, removing the flipped vehicle from the crash site; and traffic going into Lahaina remained backed up to Buzz’s Wharf in Ma’alaea.

At around 4:05 p.m. traffic was starting to resume a normal flow.  Motorists can continue to expect slight delays.
