The last day for new voters to register to vote in the upcoming general election is on Monday.

Completed voter registration forms must be turned in to the appropriate City or County Clerk by 4:30 p.m., on October 8, 2012.  Applicants who choose to mail their voter registration form are urged to have it postmarked by Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Wikiwiki Voter Registration Forms are available at: US Post Offices, public libraries, the Yellow Pages, the Office of Elections website at www.hawaii.gov/elections, City or County Clerk’s Offices, and most state agencies.

To vote, you must be a US citizen, a resident of Hawai’i and at least 18 years old.

Currently registered voters that have changed their name or moved since the last election should re-register before the voter registration deadline.

The general election this year will take place on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
