Crews Respond to Keanae Trash Fire

Engine 7 from Hana was dispatched to respond to a possible structure fire in Keanae Town at 6:52 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012.

Engine 7, Tanker 7, and Mini 7  responded to the scene where they found an 800 square foot pile of trash and brush on fire.

No structures were threatened.

Engine 7 arrived on scene at 7:33 .pm., and canceled other units responding from Paia.

Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga said the fire was under control quickly, at 7:42 p.m., and extinguished at 8:10 p.m.

There were no injuries or damages reported.
