Another solid west-northwest swell is aimed to hit the islands Sunday and Monday.

Surf heights are expected to reach 6-12 feet Sunday, and rising slightly to the 8-15+ feet on Monday.

This swell is expected to have a more westerly direction, which may result in some blockage from the outer islands like Molokai, and Lanai.

All of the usual spots will for sure be “surfable,” but with the right knowledge and extra gas money, there are some of those spots that only work with this type of direction.

According to Surf News Network, the swell is expected to veer more north Tuesday, opening up more spots on the island.

The island of Maui is shaped in such a way that it is able to receive all north swells, so get out there and surf different spots.
