Maui’s Luna Remembered as “True Leader”

Condolences have surfaced in the days following the passing of active community member and attorney, B. Martin Luna.

Luna’s practice focused on real estate and administrative law, with more than 40 years of general practice.

With extensive experience in land use development and permitting, he was selected for inclusion in this year’s Best Lawyers in America.

Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa called Luna a “true leader and good friend” saying is expertise in law was complemented by his good humor, aloha and professionalism.

On a personal note, Mayor Arakawa said Martin’s presence will be missed as he prepares for his 2013 State of the County Address, an event that was emceed by Luna in both 2011 and 2012.

“It will be impossible not to think of him as we prepare for the event again this year. His presence will be deeply missed. Aloha Martin and God bless,” said Mayor Arakawa.
