Final Chance to Vote for Paia as Happiest Seaside Town

The final hours of voting are underway for the Country’s Happiest Seaside Town, a poll that features Paia on Maui as one of the choices.

The town of Paia was named one of the “Top Ten Happiest Seaside Towns in America” by Coastal Living Magazine.

The honorees are now in the running for the top spot in an online contest to determine the final ranking.

Voting in the online poll continues until Feb. 28, wit votes being accepted hourly at www.coastalliving.com/happytowns2013.

The winner will be revealed May 15 on CoastalLiving.com and in the June issue of Coastal Living magazine, which hits news stands on May 17.

“Maui keeps getting recognized and we couldn’t be happier about it,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa in a media statement upon learning of the honor last month. “We’ve gotten awards for having the best island, historic streets and now the happiest seaside town. Let’s grab that #1 spot by rallying family and friends to vote for Paia Town.”
