Ehehene Street Brush Fire Burns 2 Acres

Maui firefighters battled a two-acre brush fire near Mile Post 13 of the Honoapiilani Highway in West Maui on Saturday night.
The fire was reported at 8:57 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2013, off of Ehehene Street in an area of dry brush and grass.
Crews from the Maui Fire Department’s Engine-3, Ladder-3, and Tanker-3, responded to the scene, and brought the fire under control by 10:59 p.m.
The fire was called extinguished at 11:38 p.m.

Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga said the cause of the fire is under investigation. No monetary damages or injuries were reported.
