The state Department of Transportation has announced roadwork associated several state highway projects on Maui this week.

In East Maui, road maintenance work is planned on the Hana Highway.  The work will result in a single lane closure in the westbound direction from Milepost-10 near the Garden of Eden to Milepost-16 near the Keanae Peninsula Road. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.

In West Maui, work continues to repair ocean erosion damage that has undermined the shoulder lane foundation of the Honoapiilani Highway.  Work is ongoing with reduced speed limits in the workzone that extends from Front Street in Lahaina to Kai Hele Ku Street fronting Launiupoko State Park.

Motorists are also advised of alternating lane closures for maintenance and repairs on the Honoapiilani Highway between Kapunakea Street near the Lahaina Cannery Mall, and Leialii Parkway near the Lahaina Civic Center.
