The New Miami Subs Grill announced Monday that it has struck a deal with Honolulu-based franchise operator Ocean Breeze Hawaii LLL to open 58 new restaurant locations in Hawaii.

“Bringing a taste of Miami to the aloha state of Hawaii is a natural next step for our current brand expansion efforts,” said Richard Chwatt, chief executive officer, The New Miami Subs Grill, in an announcement.

The restaurant chain is reportedly set to debut a modern new look and feel in 2013-2014, led by the artistic direction of international architect Kobi Karp, founder of Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design.

The restaurant chain recently also partnered with international music celebrity-turned-entrepreneur Armando Christian Perez, aka “Pitbull,” which it hopes will add to the “excitement and edginess of the Miami’s signature lifestyle look for Miami Subs.

The New Miami Subs Grill, a South Florida company, opened its first Miami Subs restaurant in 1988, and features Philly cheesesteaks, wings, gyros and Angus steak burgers.
