Mechanical Problems Delay Trash Pickup in East Maui

Mechanical problems with a refuse truck have forced the County of Maui Solid Waste Division to reschedule trash pickup along the East Maui residential route, officials said.
The route that was scheduled for pickup today (Wednesday, May 22), but has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 25, according to a county announcement.

Areas affected include Ke’anae through Hāna and Koali, as well as surrounding areas of East Maui.
County officials say an alternate vehicle, which is currently providing service on other existing routes until this weekend, will be transported to Hāna to pickup trash on the missed routes in East Maui.
