Another record high temperature was set in Kahului, bringing to four the total number of record setting days for hot weather on Maui this month.

The National Weather Service reports that the temperature in Kahului on Friday, May 24, reached 90 degrees, tying the old record set for that day in 1968.

This comes after three days of 89 degree weather in early May that also set records.

According to NWS data, the May 1 temperature in Kahului broke the old record set in 2011, while temperatures on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, tied old records set in 2007 and 1995 respectively.
