This comes after three days of 89 degree weather in early May that also set records.

According to NWS data, the May 1 temperature in Kahului broke the old record set in 2011, while temperatures on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4, tied old records set in 2007 and 1995 respectively.

Forecasters from the NWS are projecting afternoon clouds and showers for today and Friday, with trade wind weather to return over the weekend.
