A high surf advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. for the south facing shores of all islands.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service continued the advisory saying surf is expected to be in the 6 to 10 foot range through this afternoon.

The NWS advises beach goers of strong rip currents and breaking waves that can make swimming difficult and dangerous.
