LOCATED: Maui Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Person

***Update 8:34 a.m. 7/18/13: Maui police say the missing person has been LOCATED.  Thank you for your help.

The Maui Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating James Dando III, who was last seen at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 near Mama’s Fish House restaurant in Pāʻia.

According to police reports, Dando was last seen wearing a blue work shirt with the wording “Maka’s Landscaping,” black plaid shorts, blue and black shoes, and gray socks.

Police describe Dando as 6’4″ tall, weighing 185 pounds, clean shaven, black hair that is short or shaved, and brown eyes.  He also has tattoos on his forearms, chest and back.

According to police, Dando is in possession of his blue 1998 Toyota Corolla, four-door sedan, with the license plate MDS818.  Police reports indicate the vehicle also has a Mama’s Fish House employee parking sticker on the front passenger window.

Police say Dando normally hangs out in the Haʻikū and Upcountry areas but may have contacts in the Lahaina and Hāna areas.  According to additional information compiled by police, Dando was sighted by family in the Hāna area sometime on Saturday, July 13th, 2013, driving his car.

Police did not release information on Dando’s age or circumstances surrounding his disappearance, but the case was classified as a missing person.

As of 2:42 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, Dando remained missing.
