Olinda Brush Fire Burns Heavily Wooded Area

Mop-up operations were being conducted at a brush fire reported overnight in Olinda, officials said.
The fire was first reported at 1:36 a.m., on Thursday, July 18, and was contained by around 3:40 a.m., according to fire officials.
The fire burned a 6,000 square foot area of a heavily wooded forest, according to Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
