Officials with the DLNR’s Nā Ala Hele Trails and Access Program say significant progress was made during two earlier volunteer workdays conducted on July 6 and 13.

The trail is being constructed in cooperation with the International Mountain Biking Association and the Maui Mountain Biking Coalition.

According to DLNR officials the new mountain biking trail will run parallel to the existing multi-use trail for approximately two miles along the eastern leg of the Kahakapao Loop Trail.
